Job Summary

The Planning & Logistics Manager is responsible for leading factory operational planning and logistics including production planning raw material planning warehousing and internal material flow. This role ensures efficient end-to-end supply chain execution delivering high service levels optimized inventory and operational excellence.

This position will be based in Rayong Thailand and will be reporting to the Factory Director.

What you will do

1. Leadership & Operational Excellence
Lead and develop the planning warehousing and logistics teams across three factory units (on one site) to consistently meet customer commitments and customer service experiences.
Partner with Operations Managers (Closures Strips Straws) to optimize planning boards improve equipment efficiency reduce losses and implement lean production flow principles.
Build organizational capability through coaching succession planning and continuous skill development.
Actively participate in daily production and operational meetings to ensure alignment with factory and central planning priorities.
Drive continuous improvement using WCM methodologies to eliminate losses across planning warehousing and logistics; act as a pillar member or leader as appropriate.

2. Operational Logistics
Lead world-class internal logistics operations including material handling warehouse management and factory material flow.
Ensure efficient and compliant inbound and outbound logistics processes including supplier receipts and customer deliveries.
Oversee third-party logistics (3PL) and external warehouse providers to ensure service excellence cost efficiency and compliance with company standards.
Ensure robust inventory governance including stock accuracy cycle counting reconciliation and risk mitigation.
Ensure proper storage handling and disposal of waste materials in compliance with EHS and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation and system control (SAP/APO/P2) for all goods movements and transactions.

3. Warehouse Management
Implement and sustain best-in-class warehouse operations covering receiving storage picking and dispatch.
Optimize warehouse layout flows and processes to improve productivity and reduce handling losses.
Ensure full traceability and accuracy of inventory through standardized processes and system discipline.
Monitor and manage warehouse KPIs (e.g. inventory accuracy service level productivity cost efficiency).

4. Operational Planning
Collaborate with central planning on capacity allocation and long-term planning scenarios.
Develop and maintain monthly capacity plans aligned with central requirements and factory bottlenecks.
Create optimized production schedules considering capacity constraints sequencing project timelines and customer delivery requirements.
Manage planning master data across systems (P2 P2 Planning APO SAP) to ensure planning accuracy and stability.
Execute and operationalize production reallocations between factories when required.

We believe you have

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in planning logistics or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership and people management capability with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes and product portfolio preferably in food packaging or similar industries.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain including financial implications of operational decisions.
  • Experience in stakeholder management including customers suppliers and internal functions.
  • Good knowledge and practical application of WCM/TPM (World Class Manufacturing) methodologies.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Production planning processes and systems
    • Material planning and inventory control
    • Warehouse and logistics operations
  • Proficiency in planning and ERP tools (e.g. SAP APO P2 Planning).
