About the role
The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of the Socialtel property ensuring a high-quality guest experience efficient operations strong team performance and achievement of commercial and financial targets. Socialtel is a social hospitality brand where accommodation community experiences F&B events and guest interaction are central to the overall product. The Operations Manager must combine strong hotel/hostel operational discipline with an energetic guest-focused approach.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the Socialtel property and ensure all departments operate efficiently and collaboratively
- Maintain strong visibility throughout the property and conduct regular operational inspections
- Ensure rooms dormitories public areas F&B outlets and social spaces meet required standards
- Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively and act as a key escalation point for guest and operational issues
- Champion a strong guest-centric culture and ensure a smooth guest journey from arrival to departure
- Monitor guest reviews satisfaction complaints and feedback and lead effective service recovery
- Work closely with the Experience team to deliver the propertys events and activities calendar
- Ensure events are properly staffed operationally prepared and delivered safely and professionally
- Ensure efficient check-in and check-out procedures and monitor room and bed availability
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the property and monitor room and dormitory readiness
About you
- Minimum 35 years of hospitality operations experience
- Previous experience as Operations Manager Assistant Operations Manager Hostel Manager Hotel Manager or equivalent
- Experience in hostel lifestyle hotel social hospitality or experiential hospitality is strongly preferred
- Experience managing international guests and multicultural teams
- Experience with events nightlife F&B or guest experiences is a strong advantage
- Strong understanding of hotel/hostel operational and commercial KPIs
- Strong people-management and leadership skills
- Good command of English
- Flexible to work evenings weekends and public holidays when required
