Human Resource Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations and support business objectives across our hospitality operation.
The HR Manager will oversee HR administration recruitment employee relations labor law compliance payroll coordination performance management training and development employee engagement and HR policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate combines strong HR technical knowledge with a hands-on approach and understands the fast-paced people-driven nature of the hotel hostel resort restaurant and F&B industry.
- Manage day-to-day HR operations and people management activities.
- Maintain accurate employee records contracts HR documentation and personnel files.
- Develop and implement HR policies procedures SOPs and employee guidelines.
- Ensure HR processes are consistent with company standards and local employment regulations.
- Prepare HR reports workforce analysis and management updates.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for operational supervisory management and corporate positions.
- Develop recruitment strategies for high-volume hospitality recruitment.
- Source candidates through job boards LinkedIn social media recruitment networks referrals and other channels.
- Coordinate interviews selection offers onboarding and pre-employment processes.
- Build talent pipelines for future vacancies.
- Support manpower planning and workforce requirements with department heads.
- Manage employee relations and provide guidance to managers and employees.
- Handle employee grievances disciplinary matters investigations and workplace conflicts.
- Support managers in performance and people-related issues.
- Promote a positive professional and inclusive workplace culture.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and procedures are followed for employee cases.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws employment regulations social security work permits visas and statutory requirements.
- Advise management on employment-related matters and HR compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in employment legislation.
- Coordinate with relevant government authorities and external advisors when required.
- Manage the employee performance management cycle including probation performance reviews goal setting and development plans.
- Support department heads in addressing performance issues.
- Develop performance improvement processes and documentation.
- Promote accountability and continuous performance development.
- Identify training needs across departments.
- Coordinate training onboarding orientation leadership development and service training.
- Support career development and succession planning.
- Monitor training participation and effectiveness.
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing with Finance or payroll providers.
- Review attendance overtime leave allowances deductions and employee changes.
- Administer employee benefits insurance social security and other company programs.
- Ensure payroll and employee information is accurate and confidential.
- Develop initiatives that improve employee engagement retention recognition and workplace culture.
- Organize employee activities and engagement programs.
- Monitor employee feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support employer branding and employee communication initiatives.
- Act as a strategic HR partner to the General Manager and department heads.
- Provide HR advice to management on workforce planning organizational structure employee relations and people development.
- Monitor staffing levels turnover absenteeism and labor costs.
- Support organizational changes new openings renovations and business expansion.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Hospitality Management or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience preferably within hospitality.
- Previous experience as HR Manager Human Resources Manager People & Culture Manager HR Business Partner or Assistant HR Manager.
- Strong experience in hospitality recruitment employee relations labor law HR administration and performance management.
- Experience managing recruitment for hotels hostels resorts restaurants or F&B operations is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of local labor laws employment regulations social security and HR compliance.
- Experience handling both operational and management-level recruitment.
- Strong understanding of payroll compensation benefits and HR documentation.
- Excellent communication negotiation problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Strong English communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced multicultural hospitality environment.
