Job Summary

Job Purpose and Impact

The Build Project Manager oversees project management activities for low to medium complexity build projects including project leadership planning execution controls and business this role you will lead a team and direct daily project activities with a primary focus on construction quality management QA/QC implementation and excellence execution.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide strategic direction to the project team applying build project management best practices to champion safety ensure regulatory compliance and deliver projects with execution excellence.
  • Execute low to medium complexity projects using the project management framework to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and key metrics to mitigate risks and improve project performance.
  • Implement and promote project management best practices.
  • Apply appropriate tools and techniques to proactively manage project outcomes and deliver successful results.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to maximize business value and technical benefits.
  • Coordinate operational aspects of assigned projects.
  • Lead coach and develop team members including talent management hiring performance management and disciplinary actions.
Quality Management & QA/QC
  • Establish and maintain the project QA/QC framework including quality plans Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) checklists inspection schedules and project-specific quality standards across CSA equipment piping and multidisciplinary construction activities.
  • Lead site quality execution through inspections testing quality audits consultant/site supervisor walkdowns and in-process quality checks to ensure compliance with approved specifications and procedures.
  • Manage QA/QC documentation and records including inspection reports test results certificates calibration records material approvals NCRs punch lists and handover records.
  • Ensure construction material quality by verifying permanent material compliance supporting material approvals and coordinating with project engineers procurement contractors suppliers and consultants.
  • Monitor quality performance by tracking NCRs punch lists inspection compliance audit findings quality trends and contractor quality performance; drive corrective and preventive actions where required.
  • Strengthen site quality capability by coaching supervisors contractors suppliers and inspectors on QA/QC standards inspection requirements lessons learned and quality best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Project management experience
  • Safety and quality management experience
  • Project controls and tracking experience
  • Construction management experience
  • 3 years of supervisory experience Safety and quality management experience
  • Experience with QA/QC dashboards inspection tracking system & mobile inspection apps
  • Familiar with data driven quality reporting KPI visualization & digital NCR management
  • Strong command of technical documentation inspection reports & audit records
PRIOR BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCES
  • Lead process development deployment and standardization for complex projects regionally and globally.
  • Knowledge of industry practices and standards.
  • Experience in construction QA/QC preferably 2 to 3 years in industrial or food manufacturing projects.
  • Experience with managing field engineering inspection & NDE related to all QA/QC functions.
  • Experience working with 3rdparty inspection agencies
