Our client is the leader of manufacturing industry for steel and equipment founded more than two decades ago. We serve oil and gas petrochemical refining mining renewable energy power and other industries throughout locally and internationally.
Position Title: Assistant Procurement Manager (Chinese Speaking)
Location: Rayong Thailand
General Purpose:
Support the Procurement Manager in leading procurement operations supplier management and logistics coordination to ensure cost-effective and timely sourcing of goods and services for the companys projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee procurement officers in daily operations.
Assist in developing procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
Source evaluate and establish contracts with qualified local and overseas suppliers.
Negotiate pricing terms and long-term supply agreements.
Review and approve purchase orders and supplier contracts within delegated authority.
Coordinate with logistics providers freight forwarders and internal teams to ensure smooth import/export processes.
Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic evaluations.
Prepare procurement and logistics reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with company policies legal requirements and international trade regulations.
Education: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Engineering or related fields.
Experience: Minimum 35 years in procurement including international sourcing and logistics; experience in heavy industries or construction projects preferred.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
Strong analytical planning and problem-solving abilities.
Good command of Chinese in speaking reading and writing
Good command of English is an advantage
Required Skills:
Bachelor or Masters degree in Business Administration Finance Economics or Accounting At least 3-5 years experience in Investor Relations Financial or Business analyst role Good command of Thai and English communication writing and speaking as well as presentation skills Knowledge about law rules and regulations of SET and SEC Sound knowledge of SET Link Understanding the mechanism in equity markets Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint Outgoing friendly positive and socializing personality Be able to travel when required
