AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue adoption and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work with leading government agencies public healthcare systems and educational institutions that are modernizing citizen services research platforms and critical infrastructure on AWS and we believe that exceptional technical guidance is critical to their success.

As a Solutions Architect within Amazon Web Services (AWS) you will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build deep engagement and broad adoption of AWS services across public sector customers in Taiwan. You will focus on key themes including Generative AI and Agentic AI (Amazon Bedrock Amazon Kiro) data sovereignty and compliance secure cloud adoption application modernization disaster recovery and resilience and citizen/student experience transformation helping customers leverage the full breadth of the AWS platform to deliver better public outcomes while meeting local regulatory requirements.

You will own the technical engagement and ultimate success of specific customer initiatives from discovery and architecture design through proof-of-concept implementation and production launch. You will develop deep expertise in AWS technologies while building broad knowledge of how secure compliant public sector solutions are architected on AWS including Well-Architected best practices migration modernization and hybrid/sovereign deployment patterns.

A successful candidate will possess strong customer-facing skills to represent AWS effectively with senior government officials agency CIOs and technical stakeholders combined with a technical depth that enables meaningful collaboration with system integrators software developers and architects. Experience with AI/ML or generative AI use cases familiarity with public sector regulatory frameworks (e.g. data residency information security classifications) and the ability to architect end-to-end solutions spanning data AI security and modern application architectures are highly valued.

Key job responsibilities
Act as a trusted technical advisor to public sector customers including government agencies education institutions and healthcare organizations designing secure compliant cloud architectures that address mission-critical workloads and regulatory requirements.

Lead technical discovery and solution design workshops with customer stakeholders (from technical teams to agency CIOs and senior government officials) defining clear objectives success criteria and architectural roadmaps.

Drive hands-on proof-of-concept builds and architecture reviews leveraging AWS services across Generative AI (Bedrock Kiro) data & analytics security & compliance and application modernization to accelerate customer outcomes.

Navigate complex public sector procurement and compliance landscapes ensuring proposed solutions align with local regulatory frameworks including data residency information security classifications and sovereignty requirements.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Managers Specialist SAs ProServe and system integrator partners to deliver end-to-end solutions and ensure successful production launches.

Develop and share reusable assets reference architectures and public sector best practices with the broader SA community contributing to thought leadership through blogs workshops and customer events.

Stay current on public sector digital transformation trends government IT policies and emerging AWS capabilities translating them into actionable recommendations for customers.

A day in the life
No two days are the same. You might lead a whiteboard architecture session with a government agency modernizing citizen services conduct a security and compliance review for a healthcare platform handling sensitive patient data or build a generative AI proof-of-concept for an intelligent government chatbot. Other days youll join executive briefings with agency CIOs to align on cloud adoption roadmaps collaborate with system integrators and Account Managers on large-scale migration strategies or deep-dive into disaster recovery architectures ensuring national-level resilience. You will work closely with Taiwans leading public sector organizations helping them deliver better citizen outcomes through secure innovative cloud solutions.

Our Public Sector practice focuses on empowering government agencies educational institutions and healthcare organizations to deliver better outcomes for citizens students and patients securely and at scale.

We are a team of builders advisors and industry enthusiasts who combine deep technical expertise with an understanding of the unique challenges in public sector from regulatory compliance and data sovereignty to procurement complexity and mission resilience. We work alongside system integrators independent software vendors and cross-functional AWS teams to help customers navigate their cloud journey with confidence.

- 8 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics) experience
- 3 years of design implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10 years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

- 5 years of infrastructure architecture database architecture and networking experience
- 10 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics) experience
- Knowledge of cloud architecture
