Job Summary
Primary Function of Position:
The APAC Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) team at Intuitive Surgical Taiwan Branch seeks a
highly motivated professional data analyst to support data analysis real-world evidence (RWE) generation and
related data exploration and research for public and private insurance needs across APAC region.
The position needs to be familiar with large claim databases such as the National Health Insurance Research
Database (NHIRD) and Medical Data Vision (MDV) hospital EMR/HER and have basic knowledge of healthcare
policy HEOR and robotic-assisted surgery related clinical knowledge. The analyst will conduct literature reviews
contributing to study design managing IRB applications supporting expert meetings coordinating data collection and validation performing statistical analyses and preparing study reports and manuscripts. Additionally he/she will collaborate closely with internal teams and external researchers across the APAC region to support study planning data analysis and evidence generation for reimbursement submissions and emerging technologies assessments.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Participate and support APAC local studies including study design development data collection and verification
data analysis and the preparation of study reports and manuscripts.
Track project plans and timelines for APAC local and ensure timely and aligned deliverables studies in alignment
with in-country reimbursement and patient access strategies.
Support studies using large healthcare databases (e.g. health insurance claims electronic medical records EMR and electronic health records EHR) and patient registries.
Analyze and present study findings (e.g. surgical adoption trend clinical outcomes) to relevant internal and
external stakeholders and leverage study data to support programs including QTI (Quantify the Impact) CHA
(Custom Hospital Analytics) etc.
Qualifications :
Skill/Job Requirements:
Masters degree in public health health care policy and/or management HEOR epidemiology statistics
biostatistics or related field.
At least 3 years of experience in health services research.
Able to conduct data analysis using SAS R SQL and other analytical tools.
Knowledge of study management including study design IRB application statistics publication etc.
Record of supporting publications in clinical epidemiology health economics or health services research journals.
Understanding of the healthcare delivery systems health claims databases and EMR/EHR across APAC.
Ability to communicate well think and work independently and manage work promptly.
Preferred Qualifications:
More than 3 years of experience in statistical programming using R (preferred) SAS or SPSS.
Experience in analyzing large real-world healthcare databases (e.g. NHIRD health insurance claims electronic
medical records patient discharge data) and patient registries are preferred.
Familiarity with the structure use and limitations of APAC health claims databases and EMR are preferred.
Experience in working with medical professionals and coordinating studies for medical devices.
Experience in HEOR-related observational study design implementation analysis and publication.
Experience in managing or participating in studies composed of stakeholders from multiple entities.

Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the
