Role Overview:

Coupang is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Security Specialist to support physical security operations for our Taiwan corporate sites. This role is critical to ensuring the workplace security and safety of Coupang personnel and assets. The successful candidate will provide physical security expertise for a variety of duties across Coupangs Global Corporate Security operations in Taiwan.

The candidate is responsible for Security Operations Office (SOO) functions including conducting physical security assessments badging operations monitoring core areas emergency management security vendor oversight investigations and daily inspections. This includes managing electronic security environments such as Enterprise Security Systems (ESS) and other access control platforms. This position reports directly to the Head of Global Corporate Security-Taiwan and requires daily interaction with various internal and external stakeholders.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure all personnel and visitors adhere to Coupangs physical security policies while simultaneously monitoring security vendor performance to ensure all deliverables meet the defined scope of work.
  • Conduct comprehensive physical security risk assessments across all corporate offices and subsidiaries to identify gaps document remedies and ensure enterprise-wide adherence to Coupangs standards.
  • Operate and manage Enterprise Security Systems (ESS)including access control CCTV and badging.
  • Act as the primary security point of contact during emergencies leading facility evacuations and shutdowns while ensuring Emergency Action Plans are aligned with EHS and the current operating environment.
  • Perform investigative duties and monitor security platforms daily to detect and deter potential threats contributing to the ongoing refinement of SOPs for crisis management.
  • Produce regular Site Security Status Reports and manage incident response and visitor activities in close coordination with HRBP Legal WMB and EHS.
  • Coordinate and participate in specialized training sessions and drills to continuously enhance SOO operational capabilities and team readiness.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in physical security operations or a related support function including at least 1 year in a corporate environment at a global company in Taiwan.
  • Proven expertise in the operation and management of Enterprise/Electronic Security Systems (ESS)specifically access control CCTV and badgingalong with oversight of Master Key Programs and guard force inspections.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities.
  • Completion of specialized training in Corporate Internal Investigation ESS Access Control Badging Management First Aid and Fire Safety Management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • With previous field security experience support supporting MNC companies or major government facilities.
  • English language proficiency with a TOEIC score of 750 or higher.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin and Taiwanese.
