As a Chemical Manager you will lead the operation maintenance and engineering support of chemical systems in semiconductor manufacturing. You will provide strategic and tactical leadership to ensure safe reliable and efficient system performance while driving continuous improvement project execution team development and compliance with EHS standards. This role requires strong collaboration across Facilities Construction EHS Manufacturing and supplier partners to support world-class manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation maintenance and engineering support of chemical systems to ensure safe and reliable supply for fab production.
• Manage and develop the chemical operations and engineering team through clear role definition performance expectations coaching and succession planning.
• Drive system reliability through predictive and preventive maintenance strategies redundancy reviews spare part planning and performance monitoring.
• Provide leadership for abnormal event response root cause analysis and implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support fab expansion system startup tool hook-up and construction handover activities.
• Own area procedures operation standards OCAP training packages and documentation to ensure consistency and operational excellence.
• Manage contractors and supplier relationships to support maintenance project execution and continuous improvement objectives.
• Use operational metrics and routine field engagement to identify opportunities to improve safety housekeeping cost and efficiency.
• Manage budgets resources and priorities to align with business needs and site objectives.
• Ensure compliance with Micron EHS policies local regulations and audit requirements and promote a strong safety culture across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Chemical Engineering Environmental Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience in chemical system operations maintenance or engineering within semiconductor manufacturing or a related industry.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams contractors or shift operations in a high-demand manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of chemical distribution systems safety interlocks equipment reliability and operational risk management.
• Experience with troubleshooting root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Familiarity with SEMI S2/S8 ISO standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication cross-functional collaboration and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead under pressure and respond effectively to system abnormalities and emergency situations.

Preferred

• Experience in semiconductor fab utility or facility operations.
• Experience leading chemical system startup commissioning expansion or handover activities.
• Familiarity with Micron internal systems and management processes (e.g. MCM SAP OCAP pass-down platforms).
• Experience with budget planning contractor oversight and supplier management is preferred.
