Engineering Services Pc Board Design

Generic Job Description (not Job Level specific):

• The PC board design Engineer / Architect assists engineers in the design and development of complex and detailed layouts of printed circuit boards.
• Collaborates in developing state-of-the-art designs of new or modified high-density printed circuit boards.
• Establishes design standards and configurations.
• Works from preliminary schematics part lists and basic description of the board function configuration and arrangement as defined by engineering.
• Trains drafters in the completion of drawings and specifications.
• May perform the checking of design layouts and detailed drawings.

Requirements

1. Educational Background

• Bachelors degree or above in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Communications or a related field
• Strong foundation in analog and digital circuit design and analysis

2. Technical Skills

• Familiar with the full hardware development process (Design Verification Validation)
• Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
  • High-speed signal design (Signal Integrity)
  • Power design (Power Integrity / PMIC)
  • PCB layout and SI/PI analysis
  • Semiconductor testing or ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) architecture
• Proficient with related design and simulation tools (e.g. Cadence Allegro ADS HFSS)

3. System Integration & Testing

• Strong hardware debugging and issue analysis skills
• System integration experience is a plus

4. Language Skills

• Intermediate or above proficiency in English (listening speaking reading and writing)
• Ability to communicate effectively in a global team environment

5. Work Experience

• Typically 510 years of relevant experience (for senior or principal roles)
• Experience in semiconductor consumer electronics or server hardware industries is preferred

6. Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Good teamwork and cross-functional communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
