About the role:
The Assistant Technician Manager is a key position that blends hands-on technical expertise with management responsibilities. Reporting to the Technician Manager or Facility Manager this role is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the technical teams daily operations. The primary goal is to ensure that all hard services maintenance activities and projects are delivered efficiently safely and to a high standard.
What this job involves:
- Team Supervision and Leadership:Assist in managing the on-site team of technicians including work allocation scheduling and providing daily guidance and on-the-job training. Act as a crucial link between the frontline technical staff and senior management.
- Hard Services and Operations Management:Oversee the execution of the hard service scope within the field office ensuring all mechanical electrical plumbing and HVAC systems are maintained in optimal condition. Assist in planning and implementing preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to minimize equipment downtime and disruptions. Provide senior-level technical support and hands-on troubleshooting for complex issues that cannot be resolved by the team.
- Asset Management:Assist in managing the full lifecycle of building assets from installation to disposal. Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment spare parts and tools and ensure proper record-keeping.
- Project Management:Lead or support various technical projects such as equipment upgrades system replacements or office fit-outs. Specifically identify plan and execute energy-saving projects and other initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
- Safety and Compliance:Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with company safety policies and local regulatory requirements. Promote a strong safety culture within the team through regular training and audits.
- Administration and Reporting:Assist in preparing regular operational reports maintenance logs and incident reports. Contribute to budget management by tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost monthly reports

Sound like you To apply you will have:
- Education: A degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) Facility Management or a related technical field is typically required.
- Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in hard services maintenance with some proven experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity & program management.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of MEP systems handyman cases asset management principles and project execution. Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Management Skills: Strong organizational problem-solving and communication skills. Capable of leading a team and making effective decisions under pressure.
