Asia Construction & Commissioning Leader

Power plants dont commission themselves and neither does great leadership. As the Construction & Commissioning Leader for Asia you will be the driving force behind the safe on-time and on-budget delivery of Heavy Duty Gas Power projects across the region. Based in Taiwan you will own the full execution lifecycle from civil works through mechanical and electrical erection commissioning and final contractual handover to the customer.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical rigour people development and commercial accountability. You will represent GE Vernova on the ground and shape how we deliver in one of our most strategically important regions. This role requires regular travel to project sites across Taiwan and the broader Asia region. Flexibility for site visits is an essential part of the position.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Lead regional site execution oversee all C&C activities across the Asia portfolio ensuring strict adherence to Environment Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality Standard and delivery within scope schedule and budget.
• Set and execute regional strategy define the C&C site execution approach for resources contractors and logistics in close coordination with Project Execution Engineering and Sourcing functions.
• Drive commercial performance manage the regional C&C cost centre lead Inquiry-to-Order (ITO) costing for turnkey power plant scopes deliver cost-out targets and maintain accurate cost forecasting and reporting.
• Manage subcontractor and customer relationships provide technical oversight lead claim negotiations and set the strategic direction for subcontractor engagement across the region.
• Build and develop your team coordinate resource allocation and assignment across sites identify training needs and ensure all team members are supported appraised and developed in line with GE Vernovas people processes.
• Enable cross-functional delivery serve as the primary interface between C&C Project Management Engineering and Sourcing translating regional strategy into clear business objectives and cascading targets through the organization.

Who You Are

You are an experienced construction and commissioning professional with a strong track record in Gas Power new unit delivery. You lead with clarify communicate across cultures and are equally comfortable on a project site as you are in a strategic planning session.

Required:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering Business or a related technical/commercial field or equivalent experiences
• Significant experience in Construction & Commissioning leadership for complex for Power Generation projects
• Solid Experience in Gas Power New Unit Business
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop large multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven experience managing customers and subcontractors including commercial and contractual negotiations
• Clear concise communicator able to translate complex information for diverse audiences.
• Strong stakeholder influencing skills in matrix organization with international teams.

Desired Characteristics

• Deep knowledge of the Asia region and its regulatory cultural and logistical landscape.
• Established track record in construction and commissioning management at a regional or multi-site level.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability in high-pressure time-critical environments.
