Senior Software Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our R&D Software team in Ö this role you will be involved in the development of advanced control systems and autonomous functions for surface drilling rigs. You will work with modern technologies primarily C for backend development and React/TypeScript for user interface development.

This position is ideal for a developer who combines strong technical expertise with a systems-thinking mindset values software quality and enjoys solving complex engineering challenges in a collaborative environment.

• Design develop and maintain control systems and autonomous functionalities for surface drilling equipment.
• Develop and enhance backend applications using C.
• Build and maintain user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software developers system engineers product owners and end users.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to testing and deployment.
• Ensure high standards of software quality performance reliability and maintainability.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote best development practices.
• Work within agile development processes and contribute actively to team ceremonies and planning activities.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant experience in software development preferably within industrial automation embedded systems or complex technical environments.
• Strong proficiency in C development.
• Experience developing modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of software architecture design principles and system integration.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality software solutions in complex technical environments.
• Experience working within agile development teams.
