Job Description

Evam builds mission-critical technology for the people who keep society safe. Our software is used by police ambulance fire & rescue and other public safety organisations to manage complex time-critical operations. Every day Evam supports first responders handling hundreds of thousands of life-threatening incidents.

Were looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer who is also ready to step into an Engineering Manager role someone who can architect and ship production code on Monday and coach a team through a tricky delivery on Tuesday. Youll lead a small focused team while remaining deeply hands-on across our Spring Boot Kotlin backend and our React TypeScript frontend.

Youll own technical direction for your area of the platform: shaping architecture setting the engineering bar breaking down complex problems and making sure what we build is robust scalable and maintainable. You should be senior enough to start a new product codebase from scratch and lay solid foundations making the right calls on architecture tooling conventions and testing strategy so the codebase stays healthy as the team and product grow. Equally important youll grow the people around you running 1:1s giving direct feedback hiring and creating an environment where senior engineers do their best work.

This is more than coding and people management. The software you build will be used by first responders during active incidents - supporting them in the most critical moments of emergency response.
