Production Manager

At MilDef production is a strategic capability. We are building a European defense company designed for long-term scale resilience and delivery excellence.

We are now looking for a Production Director to join our growing team.

This is a critical leadership role within the Business Unit MilDef Products responsible for securing operational performance during a period of significant growth industrialization and transformation. The role combines full operational ownership of our Helsingborg production site with coordination of manufacturing across international production sites.

The role requires both strategic leadership and operational execution balancing daily performance with long-term capability building.

Key responsibilities

• Assume full operational responsibility for the Helsingborg production site

• Coordinate manufacturing activities across multiple production sites within the Business Unit

• Secure operational robustness delivery precision and execution discipline

• Drive manufacturing excellence in a defense industry environment with high quality and security requirements

• Ensure compliance with applicable defense security and quality standards

• Lead capacity planning production scaling and operational readiness initiatives

• Build and develop a high-performing production organization capable of supporting long-term growth

• Work closely with Supply Chain Engineering Program Management Quality and Operations leadership

• Support the Business Unit in securing customer confidence through predictable and reliable delivery performance

What you bring

• Extensive leadership experience from manufacturing operations or industrial production environments

• Strong experience managing complex production operations and industrial scaling

• Proven ability to lead through transformation and operational change

• Strong understanding of quality systems operational governance and manufacturing excellence

• Experience working in low-volume/high-mix production environments preferably combined with industrialization toward higher-volume manufacturing

• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership capability

• A structured resilient and execution-focused leadership style in combination with an engaging and strong leadership personality who easily is getting followship from team

• Risk management mindset

• Hands-on operational leader with strategic capability

• Able to operate in a matrix organization with program/contract-driven delivery

• Financially strong in manufacturing economics

Meriting experience

• Experience from defense aerospace automotive medtech or other highly regulated industries is highly valued

• Strong understanding of compliance export control and quality systems (ISO FAR/DFAR etc).
