DevOps Engineer
Job Summary
Keep things running. Automate everything else. Join StickerApp as our new DevOps Engineer and help us build the platform behind the worlds most playful sticker experience.
StickerApp is the small company that made it big in the sticker world. What started in 2006 as a niche idea has grown into a thriving global platform with over 110 employees including a 20-person strong Tech team serving customers in more than one hundred countries. We help creators brands and everyday sticker lovers design and order high quality custom stickers that feel personal fun and easy to make.
Our product is fully online our team is proudly hands-on and our ambition is to make every interaction from designing your first sticker to unboxing your latest order feel just right. We care deeply about the experience and we believe craft speed and joy can go hand in hand.
You will be joining our 4-person Operations team working alongside the Tech Operations Manager DevOps Lead and fellow engineers to ensure everything keeps running smoothly.
We are looking for a structured curious and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our IT Operations team. This is a role that blends development and operations in the truest sense: you will be the bridge between our DevOps and TechOps worlds equally at home writing automation code as you are reasoning about networks servers and security.
You are more of a generalist than a specialist with a broad technical interest and a burning passion for automation. If something can be scripted pipelined or provisioned as code you would rather do that than click through it twice. And you have been around long enough to have stepped on a few mines. You know how things break in production you can tell us about a time it went sideways and you learned something worth keeping from it.
Your work will be focused on the platform underneath everything our customers see: the servers networks pipelines and cloud infrastructure that keep StickerApp fast secure and reliable around the world.
One day you might be building out a CI/CD pipeline or writing Ansible playbooks to automate away a manual routine. The next you are tuning our Kubernetes setup tracking down a DNS oddity reviewing firewall rules or making sure our patching keeps both internal and public-facing services safe. You will work across Linux servers cloud services containers and databases and you will collaborate closely with both our developers and our technicians translating between the two when needed.
We move fast but we care about quality. We are not chasing trends but we love good tools. We value focus and flow but also coffee breaks and real-life conversations. You will have room to shape both your own role and the way we run our infrastructure.
You have the technical maturity and judgment that comes with experience ideally from both sides of the fence: a developer background and a technician background or enough time in one to have grown deep respect for the other.
You are confident working with Linux servers and at least one of the major cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure). You have hands-on experience with Kubernetes Docker and virtualization and you have built and maintained CI/CD pipelines. You use Ansible or similar tools to automate infrastructure because doing things by hand twice bothers you.
You understand networking fundamentals: firewalls DNS and how traffic actually flows including working with a WAF. You bring a solid security mindset to everything you do from patching routines to how internal and public services should be exposed and protected. You are comfortable working with databases particularly MySQL.
Experience with SIEM data pipelines and data migration (for example with Mage) or infrastructure as code with AWS CDK or Pulumi is welcome but not required.
You are organized and structured and you bring order to systems and processes rather than adding to the chaos. You take initiative own what you run and communicate clearly along the way. You speak and write English fluently.
We are a growing product company with a steady business and short decision paths. Were proudly based in Lomma and believe some of the best work happens when were actually in the same room. Thats why we spend four days a week together at the office with room for one remote day per week. Our stickers are genuinely cool and our people are friendly humble and passionate about their craft.
You will not find unnecessary hierarchy or endless meetings here. Instead you will find space to focus freedom to automate and infrastructure that is genuinely yours to improve. You will keep a product running that has thousands of happy users and leaves a physical impression in the world literally.
If you are ready to build something solid with people who care we would love to meet you. Do not wait too long to apply. We review applications on a rolling basis so send yours in today!
