Your opportunity
In this role you will lead engineering- and architecture-driven risk reduction across complex IT and OT environments with ownership of the vulnerability management capability and its evolution across tools processes and architecture.
You will translate threat and vulnerability insights into architectural patterns hardening strategies and risk-based remediation roadmaps. Working closely with IT OT and business stakeholders you will influence decisions and ensure security is embedded by design across initiatives and projects.
As a key partner in cross-functional delivery you will help steer initiatives from a security engineering perspectivebalancing technical depth pragmatism and scalabilitywhile collaborating with adjacent functions such as incident response SOC and threat intelligence.
Who you will work with
You will report to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and play a key role within Bolidens Group-wide security function contributing to safeguarding our operations people and sustainable future through robust IT and information security.
The position is preferably based in Boliden but can also be located at any of our operational sites. Regular travel to sites will be required along with occasional visits to other Boliden locations. Remote work may be considered.
What you will do
- Own and continuously develop the organizations vulnerability management capability including tools processes and architecture
- Identify assess and manage vulnerabilities across IT and OT environments driving risk-based and sustainable remediation
- Define and guide secure architectures standards and security-by-design principles across solutions and projects
- Provide hands-on technical support and act as a trusted advisor in security design configuration and issue resolution
- Lead and coordinate patching and remediation efforts ensuring compliance and reducing long-term risk exposure
- Track report and improve security posture through KPIs risk insights and continuous maturity development
What you bring
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across IT OT and business functions
- Strong engineering mindset with the ability to design scalable secure and practical solutions
- Solid understanding of IT/OT architectures security controls and modern attack methodologies
- Ability to translate risk into clear technical decisions and architectural improvements
- Analytical and solution-oriented with a structured approach and strong problem-solving capability
- Continuous learning mindset with a proactive approach to emerging threats and technologies
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Security Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Fluent English both written and spoken; Swedish Finnish Norwegian or Portuguese is an advantage
- A valid EU Category B driving licence as the role involves regular travel to our sites
