Job Mission

The Platform team empowers a great engineering experience by owning shared services cloud infrastructure and our Authentication/Authorization foundation. As a Backend/Platform Engineer youll help empower our engineering teams through great foundational services best in class developer experience and a robust platform built on a modern tech stack.

Youll join our Platform team work with unblocking teams diving into production issues and shaping best practices that scale.

What youll do

• Own and improve Tibbers AWS cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platform
  

• Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform
  

• Build and maintain shared platform services and tooling used across engineering
  

• Support engineers through our rotating goalie responsibility - helping teams troubleshoot improve service setup and follow platform best practices
  

• Contribute to our Authentication and Authorization platform
  

• Improve reliability security observability and developer experience across our platform
  

• Explore how AI automation and agentic tooling can improve platform operations and developer workflows
  

• Work closely with the rest of the platform team to shape how Tibbers cloud platform evolves over time

What were looking for

We dont expect the perfect profile but we think youll thrive in this role if you:

• Have hands-on experience operating AWS infrastructure in production environments
  

• Are comfortable working with Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code preferably Terraform
  

• Enjoy building reliable platforms improving developer experience and helping engineering teams move faster and safer
  

• Bring strong technical judgement and can make thoughtful trade-offs between reliability security scalability and speed
  

• Communicate clearly and enjoy working across teams in a mostly remote setup
  

• Are pragmatic curious and open to exploring new technologies automation and AI-enabled ways of working
  

• Thrive in team where ownership is shared trust is high and learning is encouraged
  
  Tech we use: AWS Kubernetes Terraform Helm Kustomize TypeScript and Go. We care more about strong platform fundamentals and production judgement than exact tool-by-tool experience.
