In this role You will

• Manage all aspects of mainframe disk and storage administration including installation removal upgrades updates provisioning restoration and ongoing support.
• Perform daily operational activities including health checks incident management monitoring and issue resolution.
• Plan and implement storage capacity expansions and infrastructure changes.
• Configure administer and maintain storage resources supporting databases VSAM files work datasets and sort spaces.
• Administer and support storage management products including CA Disk and related utilities.
• Install test evaluate and maintain storage hardware and software solutions.
• Perform z/OS hardware planning activities including IODF maintenance LPAR configuration HMC administration and associated system changes.
• Administer backup recovery archival and disaster recovery solutions.
• Install maintain and upgrade storage-related products using SMP/E and z/OSMF.
• Manage storage volume allocation capacity planning and utilization reporting.
• Support and participate in disaster recovery testing and recovery exercises.
• Perform root cause analysis for storage-related incidents and implement preventive actions.
• Collaborate with systems programming network database and application teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Utilize automation tools such as NetView System Automation (SA) CA OPS/MVS and similar products to improve operational efficiency.
• Automate repetitive storage administration and monitoring tasks.
• Design implement and support IBM zSeries storage architectures and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security governance and operational standards.
• Maintain technical documentation operational procedures and support runbooks.

Required Qualifications

• Typically 8 to 15 years of experience in Mainframe Infrastructure and z/OS Storage Administration.
• Strong hands-on experience supporting IBM z/OS storage environments in large-scale enterprise organizations.
• Experience with IBM DS8000 series storage virtual tape systems disaster recovery solutions and storage management products.
• Proven experience managing storage capacity backup and recovery replication technologies and enterprise storage operations.
• Experience working in Banking Financial Services Insurance or other highly regulated mission-critical environments preferred.

• IBM Storage or IBM Z certifications preferred.

• Maintain accurate documentation implementation plans and operational procedures.
• Demonstrate strong ownership accountability and technical leadership in managing mission-critical storage services.
