We are currently looking for a Technical Safety Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team involved in major industrial Oil & Gas Petrochemical and Power Plant projects.

The position is aimed at professionals with experience in Process Safety Technical Safety Risk Assessment Fire Safety Engineering and Loss Prevention supporting the development of engineering studies and safety deliverables throughout the project lifecycle

Responsibilities:
Prepare and review Technical Safety and Environmental deliverables including HSE Management Plans HSE Philosophies Safety Studies HAZOP Management SIL Determination Hazardous Area Classification QRA ALARP Studies FESA COMAH Noise Studies Emission Modelling Reports and Flare Assessments.
Participate in HAZOP HAZID 3D Model Reviews HFE Reviews Construction HAZIDs and other multidisciplinary workshops.
Ensure compliance with international standards and local regulatory requirements.
Facilitate risk assessment workshops including HAZOP HAZID SIL Determination ALARP and Emergency Response Planning (ERP).
Perform and review radiation and dispersion modelling studies using FLARESIM or similar software.
Review engineering documentation from other disciplines to ensure Technical Safety compliance.
Monitor project schedules man-hour budgets and progress of assigned activities.
Prepare technical specifications RFIs RFPs and TBEs for Technical Safety equipment and systems.
Ensure technical quality and timely delivery of project deliverables.

Requirements:
Degree in Chemical Engineering Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience in Technical Safety Process Safety Fire Safety Engineering or Loss Prevention within industrial projects.
Knowledge of Hazardous Area Classification SCE/PS EERA FERA QRA ALARP and other risk assessment methodologies.
Experience preparing and reviewing HAZOP HAZID SIL QRA COMAH Fire & Gas and Technical Safety studies.
Knowledge of international standards such as NFPA API ISO EPA NIOSH ASME and IP guidelines.
Experience with software tools such as PHAST FLARESIM ALOHA EFFECTS EXsilentia or similar.
High level of English.

Desirable requirements:
Experience in Oil & Gas Petrochemical Power Plant or Energy projects.
Experience in onshore offshore and brownfield facilities.
Previous experience facilitating workshops such as HAZOP HAZID SIL Determination and ALARP.
Experience in fire protection and fire safety design.
