Sr. Procurement Manager, ATS Surface Transportation Procurement

Key job responsibilities
- You will drive strategy prioritize project initiatives and feature sets and set and align expectations with Amazon stakeholders. This requires partnership with Amazon Transportation Services program and technical teams.
- You will work closely with teams of program and product managers to drive requirements gathering solution design and implementation in line with Amazon Transportation Services strategy and corporate objectives.
- You will define prioritize and plan the resources and technical requirements needed for programs to be delivered on time.
- You will monitor project execution and ensure project delivery is in line with quality and target date deliverables driving overall program integrity.
- You will have clear precise and regular communication with all stakeholders including ongoing project and program status and progress.
- You will set up the structure and processes required for carrier procurement including carrier selection and tender creation.
- You will set up key procurement KPIs to measure monitor and improve program metrics across attainment contracts lifecycle management capacity utilization sourcing demand sourcing success carrier performance and cost.
A day in the life
A typical day in the life of a Sr. Procurement Manager will include working alongside our Carrier Managers across Europe to source capacity with high performing carriers at best in market rates working with our Program Managers to bring new initiatives to life to deliver additional value and working with our Product Managers to drive the tech required to source more effectively.
- Bachelors degree or Masters degree in business data science public administration finance engineering human resources or related field
- Experience in procurement negotiation sales consulting supply chain product/project management or marketing
- Knowledge of Excel at an advanced level
- Masters degree
- Experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
- Experience working on and delivering end to end projects independently
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making or experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
