The Role & The Team

As a Senior Procurement Specialist you will partner with business stakeholders across Airservices to provide commercial expertise procurement leadership and strategic sourcing support. Working across the full procurement lifecycle you will lead complex sourcing activities negotiate high-value contracts manage supplier relationships and influence procurement decisions that deliver operational and financial outcomes while ensuring compliance with organisational frameworks and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR).

You will be part of the Procurement Services team a collaborative and commercially focused group that works closely with leaders project teams and suppliers to maximise value manage risk and improve supplier performance. This role provides the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide procurement strategies while driving continuous improvement and innovation across procurement practices.

The Person

You are a commercially astute procurement professional who enjoys building trusted relationships influencing outcomes and solving complex business challenges. You bring strong negotiation skills commercial acumen and a proactive approach to delivering value and managing risk.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex sourcing procurement and contract management activities.
  • Proven ability to undertake commercial negotiations and influence outcomes with senior stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Experience developing sourcing strategies acquisition plans and supplier management approaches for high-value or high-risk procurement activities.
  • Strong analytical capability including interpreting financial information expenditure trends and lifecycle costs to support commercial decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships and lead cross-functional teams to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience applying the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR).
  • Experience working within Commonwealth Government Government-owned corporations or highly regulated procurement environments
  • Experience with SAP Ariba and procure-to-pay systems providing advice and guidance on procurement processes and system functionality.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Commerce or a related discipline will be highly regarded
