As part of the expansion of our engineering activities in Spain we are looking for a Senior FPGA / Firmware Engineer (M/F) to contribute to the development of advanced embedded electronic systems within highly demanding engineering environments.
Reporting to a technical manager you will play a key role in the design implementation and verification of FPGA-based solutions supporting the full development lifecycle from system architecture to validation.
Design develop and implement FPGA firmware solutions using RTL methodologies
Define FPGA architectures and contribute to system-level design activities
Develop and integrate FPGA functionalities for high-performance embedded systems
Perform FPGA verification and validation using simulation and requirement-driven methodologies
Develop and maintain verification environments testbenches and automated test procedures
Support synthesis place & route timing analysis and hardware bring-up activities
Collaborate closely with Hardware Software and Systems Engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle
Participate in design reviews technical investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Prepare and maintain technical documentation including specifications design documentation verification reports and traceability records
Support continuous improvement of FPGA development processes and engineering practices
You hold a Masters degree in Electronics Telecommunications Engineering Embedded Systems or a related discipline and have solid experience in FPGA development within complex embedded or safety-critical environments.
Strong experience in FPGA design and development
Proficiency with VHDL and/or Verilog
Experience with FPGA verification and simulation tools
Knowledge of RTL design methodologies and digital hardware architectures
Experience with FPGA implementation flows including synthesis place & route and timing analysis
Good understanding of embedded systems and hardware/software integration
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in multidisciplinary engineering teams
Experience with SystemVerilog UVM OSVVM or similar verification methodologies
Knowledge of DO-254 ECSS or other safety-critical development standards
Experience with Xilinx AMD Intel (Altera) or Microchip FPGA platforms
Familiarity with DSP high-speed communication protocols SoC architectures or RF applications
Experience in aerospace defence space transportation or other high-reliability industries
Previous experience leading technical activities or mentoring engineers
Fluent Spanish & English is mandatory
