Ecolab is seeking a Procurement Manager for our Procurement Centre of Excellence in Barcelona Spain. The selected candidate will design own and deploy the Sourcing Strategy for main product categories for Ovivo at a Global level aiming to ensure supply at the best possible TCO.


The role is in Barcelona and reports to the Ovivo Commercial Project Manager.



Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy strategies to optimize the total cost of ownership across an identified set of categories
  • Acts as business owner for your categories autonomously defining and executing sourcing strategies. Goals: improve reliability get competitive pricing seek technical and commercial opportunities reduce complexity shorten lead times. You are responsible for directly leading negotiations with suppliers.
  • Engages with key stakeholders to maintain alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Applies as sourcing methodology the Total Delivered Cost (TDC) process and tools from definition to implementation to build and reinforce a best-in-class supply that meets the company goals.
  • Collaborates across Project Management Operations Engineering and Business to ensure action plans and project milestones are met.
  • Investigates develops and drives actions to remedy supply disruptions and constraints. Effectively communicates updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Builds and maintains expert knowledge of respective categories competition and innovations.
  • Provides accurate pricing forecasts and understands key feedstock trends.
  • Links knowledge of current market trends with supplier portfolios to identify opportunities for marketplace advantages and generate new ideas for gaining a competitive advantage.
  • Establishes develops and maintains supplier relationships to ultimately create value for the organization.

Your profile :

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Industrial Automation) and/or Business; sourcing or negotiation certification preferred.
  • 10 years of international sourcing experience within industrial or engineered-to-order environments.
  • Strong expertise in Strategic Sourcing Category Management SRM supplier and contract management.
  • Proven experience managing procurement for complex projects and working within matrix organizations & project management
  • Strategic results-driven and proactive mindset with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in dynamic cross-functional environments.
  • Fluent English required; an additional European language is a plus.
