You will be part of thehighly talentedindividualsteam responsible for bringing the Air Transport Industry data to the next level. Yourday by day will include working with Data Pipelinesextractingand digginginto different Datasets coming from Airports Airplanes andGround Handlerstounderstandit andget insights that then we will use to train ML Models so we can make this industry more reliable and easier at SITA are the biggest Tech Service provider worldwide for theAir TransportIndustry. Wehave tons of data and now we want to make use of itto make our customers lives easier!
We are looking for aData Engineerto join the Central Data Platform Team and design develop andmaintainreference data patterns templates and frameworks on the centrally managed Databricks portfolio teams by enabling governance-aligned data engineering practices ensuring data is produced in a consistent secure and scalable way without owning team data products or pipelines.
This position requires an office presence of 3 days a week on our offices near to Madrid Airport or in Barcelona cityCentre.
Work together with the team in designingscalable cloud-based data architectureswith a focus on performance cost-efficiency and security.
Develop reference ingestion patterns and templates for integrating data from enterprise systems APIs and external datasets.
Develop andmaintainpipelines (e.g. platform services system tables reference implementations) and provide guidance on ETL/ELT best practices for portfolio teams.
andvalidatedata governance cataloguing and quality monitoring(compliance with guidelines) to ensure trustworthy and well-documented data.
Collaborate with data architects scientists analysts and business stakeholders across the Air Transport Industry totranslate requirements into technical solutions.
Explore and apply modern technologies (e.g.DatabricksAzureML LLMs) to enable advanced analytics and AI/ML use cases (use-case driven).
5 years of technical experience withBig Data systems.
Familiarity withDatabricks Sparkand event streaming (e.g. Azure Event Hub Kafka).
Proficiencyin SQL andPython with clean coding and OOP practices.
Cloud deployment experience (Azure preferred).
Nice to have: Knowledge of data visualization (e.g. Power BI Databricks Dashboards Tableau etc).
Nice to have: Strong understanding ofdimensional modelling and data warehouse design.
