Role Overview
We are APM Terminals and we are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function across the cluster of Spain Gateways including Valencia Gijón and Barcelona as well as other related legal entities.
You will act as a strategic business partner to the Managing Director driving financial performance governance and long-term value creation. This role combines financial leadership with operational insight enabling data-driven decisions across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the finance function covering accounting planning performance management governance risk and compliance
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across processes including Record-to-Report Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay
Drive financial planning analysis and investment evaluations to support strategic and operational decisions
Establish and maintain robust internal control risk management tax and compliance frameworks
Partner with the Managing Director and leadership team to execute business strategy and improve financial outcomes
Lead finance transformation initiatives (e.g. system changes process improvements offshoring) and enhance finance capabilities
Manage stakeholder relationships across headquarters regional teams joint venture partners and external entities

Masters degree in Finance Accounting or Business Economics with a professional qualification (ACCA CPA RA or equivalent preferred)
Significant experience (15 years) in finance leadership roles including business partnering or controlling at business unit or group level
Strong expertise in financial planning reporting accounting systems and performance management
Strategic mindset with the ability to influence advise and support executive decision-making
Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and developing finance talent in complex matrix organisations
