Back End Node Js Developer

Were looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Back End Developer to join our growing engineering team in Barcelona this role you will design develop and maintain robust server-side applications using working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to writing clean well-organized code that meets our high standards for quality and performance.

• Develop and maintain back-end services and APIs using and JavaScript ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Design and implement efficient database solutions including schema design and query optimization
• Write clean maintainable code following established coding standards and best practices
• Collaborate with front-end developers product managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver integrated solutions
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain code quality
• Troubleshoot debug and resolve technical issues in a systematic and organized manner
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure application stability and reduce bugs
• Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making
• Monitor application performance and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency
• Document code APIs and technical processes for team knowledge sharing and future reference

Qualifications :

**Required Skills and Experience:**

• Proficiency in and JavaScript with demonstrated experience building production-level applications
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MongoDB MySQL)
• Solid knowledge of version control systems particularly Git
• Experience with asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
• Familiarity with server-side frameworks and libraries (e.g. Fastify)
• Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns
• Proven ability to write organized efficient and well-documented code

**Preferred Skills and Experience:**

• Experience with TypeScript for type-safe development
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker
• Experience with testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Google Cloud Azure)
• Knowledge of message queues and event streaming (e.g. RabbitMQ Kafka)
• Experience with performance monitoring and logging tools
