Welo Data is building a talent pipeline of PhD-level experts in South Korea in anticipation of upcoming work with a major AI client. This is not a role starting immediately its an early call for experts so were ready to move the moment the project is confirmed. Project Details

• Location: Remote in Korea
• Compensation: US$60/hour paid for confirmed project work once it begins.
• Engagement type: Freelance / Independent Contractor
• Status: Building talent pipeline for upcoming project not an immediate start

Who were looking for

Were looking for depth of expertise not general familiarity:

• A completed PhD (or ABD near completion) in one of the following fields:
• Social & Behavioral Science (psychology sociology anthropology political science economics etc.)
• Humanities (history philosophy religious studies area studies etc.)
• Arts (art history performance studies music media & cultural studies etc.)
• Language & Linguistics (Korean language translation studies applied linguistics literature etc.)
• Native or professional fluency in Korean
• Strong writing and reasoning skills able to explain nuanced ideas clearly
• Comfort working independently in a remote deadline-driven setting

What the work will look like

Once confirmed selected experts will help train and evaluate AI models by:

• Writing reviewing and grading responses within their field of expertise
• Assessing AI-generated outputs for accuracy reasoning and nuance
• Providing structured actionable feedback to improve model performance
• Applying doctoral-level judgment to specialized real-world tasks
