Job Purpose
- This role is responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures relating to Production are always adhered to.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all production lines are fully prepared with raw materials packaging labour and machinery before start-up. Report any shortages or deviations.
- Drive performance to meet ATP (95%) Strike Rate (90%) and EBQ targets within BOM specifications.
- Monitor production efficiency minimize waste/scrap and report deviations promptly.
- Oversee line start-up and shutdown procedures in compliance with operational quality food safety and safety standards.
- Conduct hourly checks for product compliance (weights defects damages) and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure finished goods meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Report downtime breakdowns and disruptions; maintain accurate stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Uphold housekeeping food safety and health & safety standards aiming for zero Lost Time Injuries (LTIs).
- Ensure all required consumables raw materials and packaging materials are available for production requirements with preparation completed according to established lead times
- Train supervise and coach machine operators and production staff on production Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) work instructions and company requirements. Fostering teamwork and accountability.
- Manage non-conformance reports corrective actions and maintenance job cards effectively.
- Support system compliance (e.g. Invocom) and ensure accurate reporting of production performance.
- Ensure non-conformance and non-compliance reports are completed accurately root causes identified and corrective actions implemented and monitored for effectiveness
- Raise maintenance and operational job cards timeously review requests and approve or decline job cards as appropriate to ensure effective utilization of the maintenance management system
- Flexibility to work overtime or alternative shift patterns when required.
