Job Summary
A leading manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Millwright to join the team as a Service Technician. Based at the Paarl Head Office this role focuses on installing commissioning and maintaining custom machinery on-site at client premises. The position requires regular travel to handle breakdowns and conduct machine audits ensuring reliable after-sales technical support and backup for clients.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications: N2 Trade Tested Millwright.
Experience:
o Minimum of 3 years of experience in custom-built machinery and production machine maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
o Experience in the Liquid Packaging Industry is highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical and pneumatic fault-finding.
Travel & Licensing: Must be available for both National and International travel; minimum Code B drivers license required.
Soft Skills: Customer-service oriented with a positive attitude self-motivated and reliable when working independently.
Computer Literacy: Proficient in MS Word Excel Outlook and Internet usage.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct fault-finding problem-solving and repairs.
Install and commission machinery at client premises.
Provide ongoing maintenance servicing and customer support assistance.
Promptly attend to mechanical and operational breakdowns.
Execute equipment rebuilds and general servicing.
Coordinate and manage Works Orders alongside Customer Support tasks.
Provide technical support to various internal departments.
Deliver customer training and conduct routine machine assessments.
Maintain strict quality control quality assurance and safety standards.
