Built over 20 years the company creates cloud-based industry-specific software for automotive retailers and OEMs helping improve efficiency profitability and decision-making across their customer ecosystem.

As a Senior Developer in Cape Town youll join a growing international team working closely with UK engineers on a globally used SaaS platform contributing to new features integrations and scalable solutions.

The role is hands-on and impact-driven involving full software development lifecycle delivery in a collaborative fast-paced environment focused on continuous product improvement.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design develop and deliver high-quality product features and enhancements across the platform.
• Work closely with UK-based Product and Engineering teams to deliver new functionality improvements and third-party integrations.
• Stay hands-on in coding solution design and development across the stack.
• Build and maintain integrations with external systems using APIs and other integration methods.
• Support best practices in development testing and deployment to ensure scalable secure and maintainable solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines development tooling and broader engineering practices.
• Take part in technical discussions and share ideas to improve product delivery and performance.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues including integrations data consistency and performance challenges.
• Collaborate effectively across distributed teams in South Africa and the UK.
• Support code quality and knowledge sharing through peer reviews and collaboration.

OUR REQUIRED EXPERTISE

• Proven experience as a Senior Developer in SaaS or enterprise software environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with C# .NET / .NET Core and SQL / T-SQL.
• Solid understanding of database design performance optimisation and query tuning.
• Experience delivering front-end functionality using HTML JavaScript and Razor.
• Experience building integrations with third-party systems using REST APIs or similar technologies.
• Practical experience with Azure Cloud Services and Azure DevOps (or equivalent CI/CD tools).
• Proficiency in Visual Studio or VS Code.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices and agile delivery.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle from concept to production support.
• Strong communication skills and experience working with distributed cross-regional teams.
• Experience in automotive or complex high-availability enterprise platforms is highly advantageous.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Experience working in globally distributed development environments.
• Experience working on platforms that rely on multiple third-party integrations.
