Resident Engineer

2. Role Description

The focus of the role will be:

• Site monitoring and acceptance control.
• Implementing the required system(s) to ensuring proper Site Monitoring and Acceptance Control.
• Oversite of the on-site laboratory.
• Compiling and approving quantities for payment.
• Recording of meeting minutes.
• Application of contractual restrictions and penalties as necessary.
• Weekly conversations with the Employers Agent in terms ofconditions and progress on site.
• Reporting line for the Assistant Employers Agent Representative (EAR) and Senior Materials Technician (SMT).

• Have a good working knowledge of pavement materials.
• Have a good understanding of seal design and seal construction.
• Have working knowledge of GCC 2015 (3^rd edition) and familiar with updates published in GCC 2025 (4^th Edition).
• Have a working knowledge of Colto (1998).
• Ability to implement and enforce systems and requirements.
• Able to handle conflict.
• Able to remain objective when resolving issues with the Contractor.
