Regional Sales Manager (Power Tools)

Job Summary
Robert Bosch (Pty) Ltd. is currently looking to employ an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join their Power Tools department in the Midrand offices.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Takes Turnover and Profit & Loss responsibility for an assigned sales area within a country in alignment with CBD (Country Business Director).
- Leadership of Area Sales Manager (ASM) and Business Development Manager (BDM) team (where applicable) with ownership of resource and capacity allocation within assigned sales area
- Is an escalation point internally and externally for Area Sales Manager team (and Business Development Manager team where applicable)
- Identification/acquisition of new dealers and development of existing customer portfolio within assigned sales area
- Ensure correct deployment of T&C and pricing within frameworks and ensure distribution penetration and listings growth
- Communicate and implement cross-Business User marketing activities across assigned sales area
- Takes care of duties Area Sales Manager (and Business Development Manager where applicable) TSP
- Bears assigned sales area profit & loss responsibility direct budget responsibility
- Is accountable for Category Management within assigned sales area
- Optimizes infrastructure within the assigned sales area (e.g. Logistics IT finance) as well as marketing/sales process (e.g. pricing promotion listing)
- Develops customer base and salesforce resource allocation strategy within assigned sales area
- Optimizes communication/information flow (e.g. Area Sales Manager/Business Development Manager meetings with local marketing)
- Planning of Assigned area turnover and where applicable volume forecasting in alignment with logistics
- Manages assigned sales area financials (credits open receivables projected sales allowances/cost concessions) and escalates for support where required
- Keeps stakeholders (Hub Leads Business Developer AC Key Account Managers Key User Managers and other Regional Sales Managers) informed internally on assigned Sales Area activities and feedback on market and from customers
Qualifications :
Requirements:
- Matric certificate
- Degree in Sales Marketing Business Administration or related field
- Proven leadership experience in a sales environment
- Strong willingness to travel within assigned region
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of progressive sales experience with at least 5 years in a formal leadership role managing sales teams in a B2B or distribution environment
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing teams of 5 direct reports (Area Sales Managers and/or Business Development Managers) including coaching and performance management
- Proven track record of P&L ownership and budget management including responsibility for revenue targets cost control and profitability within assigned territories
- Substantial experience in dealer acquisition channel development and customer portfolio expansion within a similar sales environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies including pricing frameworks promotional activities and market penetration initiatives
- Experience in forecasting capacity planning and resource allocation to optimise sales team performance and market coverage
- Proven negotiation skills with internal stakeholders customers and external partners
- Strong analytical capability with experience in market analysis sales metrics and data-driven decision making
- Established expertise in the assigned market or category with ability to serve as a subject matter expert
