Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Programme Delivery
Manage and deliver multiple software development projects simultaneously ensuring alignment to timelines scope and budget.
Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle (initiation planning execution monitoring and closure).
Develop and maintain detailed project plans schedules and delivery roadmaps.
Ensure delivery is aligned to Agile Waterfall or hybrid methodologies.
Modernisation & Innovation
Lead delivery of system modernisation initiatives including legacy transformation and digital platform enhancements.
Drive innovation initiatives by enabling adoption of modern tools frameworks and methodologies.
Identify opportunities for process optimisation automation and improved delivery efficiency.
Support the transition to modern scalable and cloud-aligned solutions.
Stakeholder Management
Engage with senior business stakeholders executives and technical teams to ensure alignment and delivery success.
Manage expectations across multiple stakeholder groups.
Facilitate governance forums steering committees and project status meetings.
Ensure effective communication across all levels of the organisation.
Cross-Functional Team Leadership
Lead and coordinate delivery across cross-functional teams including:
o Development ()
o QA & Testing
o Business Analysis
o Architecture
o DevOps / Infrastructure
Ensure collaboration and alignment across all delivery streams.
Governance Risk & Compliance
Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks and organisational standards.
Identify manage and mitigate risks issues and dependencies.
Maintain accurate reporting on project performance progress and risks.
Ensure compliance with audit and delivery standards (especially in regulated environments).
Process & Delivery Excellence
Maintain a strong process-driven approach to delivery.
Drive continuous improvement of project management practices.
Ensure consistent use of project management methodologies tools and standards.
Promote high-quality delivery practices across all projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications:
Relevant Degree in Information Technology Business Computer Science or related field; or relevant Diploma with extensive experience.
Recognised Project Management certifications such as:
o PMP
o PRINCE2*-
o Agile / Scrum certifications (e.g. SAFe Scrum Master)
Experience
Minimum 10 years experience as a Project Manager
Proven experience within the Software Development industry
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Extensive experience delivering complex enterprise-scale projects
Proven experience in modernisation and transformation initiatives
