Production Manager

Are you a results-driven Production Manager with a strong background in plastics manufacturing and extrusion A leading manufacturer based in the Western Cape is looking for a skilled leader to oversee daily plant operations optimize manufacturing processes and ensure quality standards are consistently met.

• Operational Leadership: Lead manage and optimize daily production workflows to meet volume targets and delivery schedules.

• Process Optimization: Monitor machine performance continuous improvement initiatives and waste reduction strategies (OEE Lean Manufacturing).

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all manufactured products strictly adhere to local and international technical standards and quality systems.

• Maintenance and Plant Efficiency: Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to schedule downtime and ensure equipment reliability.

• Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain safety standards in accordance with relevant occupational health and safety regulations.

• Team Management: Mentor supervise and develop shop-floor staff to maximize productivity and maintain high morale.

• Qualification: Tertiary Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 58 years of production management experience within the plastics extrusion or heavy manufacturing sectors.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of extrusion processes quality management systems and plant safety standards.

• Skills: Strong leadership abilities analytical problem-solving skills and proficiency in ERP system management (e.g. SAP SYSPRO).
