Job Summary

We areactively seeking an experienced and results-driven Packaging Manager to oversee packaging operations in Bloemfontein Free State.

The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in operating and troubleshooting automated packaging machines and robotics. If you excel in production planning inventory management and optimizing team performance this is an excellent opportunity to drive operational success.

  • Technical & Operational Expertise: Automated Packaging Machines & Robotics Fault Finding ISO 22000 & HACCP Standards Management Preventative Maintenance Planning Production & Logistics Planning and Inventory Management.

    • Operations Coordination & Prioritising: Expert ability to plan daily weekly and monthly logistics and production schedules while prioritizing tasks to meet strict packaging targets.
    • Resilience & Problem Solving: Strong capacity to cope with pressure and quickly troubleshoot operational faults to minimize downtime.
    • Results Orientation & Attention to Detail: A commitment to optimizing employee and machine performance to ensure packaging standards consistently meet both company and customer satisfaction levels.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • National Senior Certificate or equivalent to NQF4.
  • A relevant qualification in Packaging or Supply Chain Management.
  • 5 Years of Supervisory Experience.
  • 5 Years of extensive packaging experience specifically within a grain milling industry.
  • Knowledge of operating and fault finding on automated packaging machines and robotics within a grain milling environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and uphold ISO 22000 and HACCP standards across the packaging department.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance planning on a daily weekly and monthly basis.
  • Execute comprehensive daily weekly and monthly production and logistics planning.
  • Manage the packaging process by optimizing both employees and machinery for maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure that all packaging standards consistently meet company and customer satisfaction levels.
  • Oversee the inventory management of final products and all packaging materials.
  • Consistently achieve and maintain designated packaging targets.
