- Monitor and manage network performance using tools such as PRTG to identify outages capacity constraints and recurring issues
- Lead advanced network troubleshooting including routing MPLS/VLAN configurations and fibre/RF fault resolution
- Act as the final escalation point for complex network issues across internal teams and clients
- Proactively manage node capacity and network optimization including client migrations and sector planning
- Support and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Field Ops and RF
- Maintain and enforce network security measures including firewall configurations and compliance with SOPs
- Contribute to infrastructure projects network upgrades and the documentation of system changes
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education:
- Relevant networking qualification (e.g. CCNP or equivalent)
- Experience:
- 34 years experience within a NOC or similar network operations role
- Proven experience in a Tier 3 or senior support environment
- Strong exposure to ISP networks routing protocols and wireless technologies
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IP networking OSPF MPLS VLANs and advanced routing concepts
- Experience with wireless technologies (e.g. Ubiquiti and Cambium)
- Understanding of network topology node performance and capacity planning
