A hands-on opportunity to make a real impact on an established open-pit mining operation.

We are looking for an experienced Mine Production Manager / Mining Operations professional to take ownership of the mining function at an established open-pit operation in Limpopo.

Working closely with the General Manager and technical planning team you will provide the operational expertise that connects mine planning with execution challenging plans assessing whether they are achievable and holding the mining contractor accountable for delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

Were open to the right background but you will ideally have:

Proven open-pit mining production/operations experience
Strong experience managing or holding mining contractors accountable
The confidence to interrogate plans understand the numbers and make sound operational recommendations
A practical understanding of drilling blasting loading hauling and stockpiling
MG/chrome experience would be advantageous although other open-pit commodities will be considered
A relevant mining engineering geology or related qualification would be advantageous
