Midwife

Our client is seeking a compassionate and experienced Midwife to provide specialised maternity and maternal care. This position offers the opportunity to support mothers and newborns throughout the pregnancy labour delivery and postnatal journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive midwifery care to patients.
• Monitor mothers and newborns throughout the maternity journey.
• Assist with labour and delivery procedures.
• Identify and escalate potential complications.
• Provide education and support to mothers and families.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and care plans.
• Work collaboratively with obstetricians and the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse and Midwife.
• Relevant midwifery qualification.
• Previous maternity or midwifery experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and monitoring skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work shifts in a busy maternity environment.
