Job Summary
Are you a qualified Fitter & Turner with experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of mechanical systems support plant reliability and contribute to efficient operations within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Job Description:
- Perform maintenance repairs and overhauls on mechanical equipment and machinery
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults to minimise downtime
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Manufacture fit and assemble mechanical components to specification
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Assist with equipment installations modifications and upgrades
- Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
- Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Minimum 5 years experience as a qualified Fitter & Turner
- Strong experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Experience working in a manufacturing mining or heavy industrial environment
- Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Trade Test (Fitter & Turner)
