Job Summary
A well-established manufacturing business operating in a fast-paced production environment is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Junior Cost Accountant. This role is ideal for a candidate who has a strong interest in costing operational finance and manufacturing processes and is looking to grow within a dynamic and hands-on environment.
Job Description:
- Assist with product costing and margin analysis
- Monitor raw material labour and production costs
- Support monthly stock counts and inventory reconciliations
- Analyse variances between actual and standard costs
- Prepare costing reports and operational financial analysis
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Maintain bill of materials (BOMs) and costing databases
- Collaborate closely with production procurement and finance teams
- Support continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
- Assist with month-end reporting and audit requirements
Skills & Experience:
- 2 years experience in a manufacturing or technical environment advantageous
- Strong numerical analytical and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- ERP system and inventory control exposure advantageous
- Experience with Pastel Evolution beneficial
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
Qualification:
Diploma or Degree in Cost & Management Accounting Finance or related field
