An exceptional opportunity has become available within a well-established alternative investment platform with a strong infrastructure investment presence across African markets.
Our client is seeking a technically strong and commercially astute Investment Associate to join their infrastructure investment team supporting the origination execution and active management of infrastructure investments across Sub-Saharan Africa.
This is a high-impact hands-on role suited to an investment professional who thrives across the full transaction lifecycle and is looking to build a long-term career within infrastructure private equity and impact investing.
The successful individual will work closely with senior leadership and experienced investment professionals while gaining exposure to complex infrastructure transactions across sectors including water energy transport digital and social infrastructure.
Key Focus Areas
Infrastructure investment origination and pipeline development
Financial modelling and investment analysis (essential)
Transaction execution and due diligence coordination
Investment committee preparation and presentation materials
Portfolio monitoring valuation and post-investment value creation
Investor reporting and stakeholder engagement

Candidate Requirements
We are specifically seeking candidates with direct exposure to infrastructure private equity infrastructure equity investing project finance advisory or development finance environments.
Critical requirements include:
Minimum 5 years relevant investment experience
Advanced financial modelling capability (non-negotiable)
Strong transaction execution experience across infrastructure or private market deals
Proven ability to build and interpret detailed project finance and valuation models
Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
MBA / CFA / CA(SA) preferred
Postgraduate qualification in Finance Economics Engineering Law or related field
Advantageous experience includes:
Exposure to infrastructure investments across African markets
Experience within water energy transportation or digital infrastructure sectors
Knowledge of infrastructure fund structures and valuation methodologies
Existing DFI and institutional investor exposure or relationships
