Individual Support Worker

Location: Newcastle Region - Travel involved
Must have a full NSW Drivers Licence and Full Comprehensive Insurance
Personal care is required and you must be confident providing it
In home and community access program support
Monday 11am to 2pm initially

As an Individual Support Worker with Lifestyle Solutions you will help customers build independence at home and in their community. If you are caring reliable and motivated to support others we would love to hear from you.
What you will be doing
Offering support in the home and the community
Supporting our participant with mental health needs
Providing personal care including showering toileting feeding and dressing
Providing intellectual support with brain injury
Assisting with community participation and recreation programs
Administering medication safely and following individual support plans
Completing clear and factual handover notes and incident reports
Pervasive Feeding (MMP training ideal)
Using Manual handling skills

What you will bring
Availability Monday 11am to 2pm with additional shifts being added for the right person
Demonstrated experience with chronic stress brain injury including neurological issues
Demonstrated experience with complex needs such as sensory overload
Regulation skills remaining calm under pressure
Exceptional understanding of trigger based behaviours due to protective nervous system responses
Strong computer skills are essential for daily documentation reporting and communication
Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID003
Qualifications in Disability or Community Services or equivalent relevant experience
