Full Stack Software Engineer

Location:South Africa (100% Remote)

Compensation:USD $3500 $5500 per month depending on experience

Contract Type:Independent Contractor Agreement

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to join a growing health technology company serving clients across Africa. This role will play a key part in building maintaining and improving the companys technology platform while supporting continued growth and innovation.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment takes ownership of technical execution and can work independently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities

• Lead full stack software development initiatives across the platform.
• Design build maintain and enhance scalable web applications and internal systems.
• Develop and support both front-end and back-end functionality.
• Collaborate with leadership and internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot debug and resolve software issues efficiently.
• Improve system performance reliability security and user experience.
• Support integrations APIs databases and platform enhancements.
• Contribute to product improvements based on client feedback and operational needs.
• Maintain clean well-documented and maintainable code.
• Communicate project progress timelines and potential blockers effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Strong expertise across both front-end and back-end development.
• Experience building and maintaining scalable web applications.
• Strong understanding of APIs databases system architecture and software engineering best practices.
• Ability to independently manage projects from planning through deployment.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within HealthTech SaaS AI or other technology-driven businesses.
• Experience supporting software products across multiple countries or regions.
• Experience working with distributed or fully remote teams.
• Previous experience in a technical lead or ownership-focused role.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure DevOps practices and modern deployment workflows.
