Fitter (Trade Tested)

Our client a well-established Chemical Manufacturing company based in Jacobs is looking to fill the position of Fitter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the ongoing maintenance of plant and machinery and the timeous turn-around of breakdowns.
• Provide for modification to equipment and new installations in accordance with accepted engineering standards and company regulations.
• Carry out minor repairs and fabrications (basic boiler making) on the plant as directed by the maintenance superintendent.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 Senior Certificate / NTCII
• Trade Tested
• 5 Years post apprenticeship experience as a Fitter
• Good working knowledge of welding cutting torch and brazing.

Other:

• High quality of workmanship.
• Attend to emergency breakdowns.
• Standby requirements.
• Must have reliable transport cellphone and supply own tools.
