Duties & Responsibilities
We are a leading consulting engineering firm delivering innovative and sustainable building services solutions across commercial residential healthcare education industrial and mixed-use developments. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical building services systems including:
- Power distribution
- Lighting and lighting control systems
- Small power installations
- Emergency power systems
- UPS and generator systems
- Earthing and lightning protection systems
- Fire detection and alarm systems
- ICT and security systems
- Prepare engineering calculations reports specifications and technical drawings.
- Produce and review electrical designs in compliance with relevant codes standards and client requirements.
- Coordinate designs with multidisciplinary project teams including mechanical civil structural and architectural disciplines.
- Attend client design and site meetings.
- Conduct site inspections and oversee installation quality.
- Manage project deliverables budgets and schedules.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or BEng/BSc Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 35 years experience in building services consulting engineering.
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Revit MEP Dialux Relux or similar.
- Strong knowledge of electrical building services standards and regulations.
- Experience with LV distribution lighting design backup power systems and building services coordination.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Valid drivers licence.
