Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially astute Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Estimator to join a dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical and instrumentation projects across industrial mining energy or infrastructure sectors.

Senior Recruitment Consultant
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for E&I projects including materials labour and subcontractor pricing
- Interpret technical drawings specifications and scope documents
- Conduct site visits where required to assess project requirements
- Compile bills of quantities (BOQs) and tender documentation
- Source and negotiate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Analyse project risks and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Work closely with engineering procurement and project teams
- Ensure compliance with client specifications and industry standards
- Assist with tender adjudication and contract negotiations
- Maintain a database of historical costs and pricing benchmarks
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation
- 38 years experience in E&I estimating within EPCM construction or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of electrical systems control systems and instrumentation
- Experience with tendering processes and cost estimation software
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&IDs
- Proficient in MS Excel and estimation tools

- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to Have:
- Experience in mining oil & gas or renewable energy projects
- Knowledge of SANS standards and local regulations
- Exposure to turnkey or EPC project environments
