Duty Manager
Big 5 safari lodge situated in the heart of Zululand just north of Hluhluwe is looking for a Duty Manager- They pride themselves on creating an intimate relaxed and family-friendly safari are looking for an energetic hands-on Duty Manager to join our close-knit lodge team.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will oversee daily lodge operations manage staff and interact closely with international and local guests. This role is perfect for a self-motivated hospitality professional who can work independently solve problems under pressure and manage front-of-house activities smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations: Coordinate guest check-ins check-outs and hosting responsibilities.
- Guest Relations: Address queries and maintain top-tier customer service standards.
- Staff Management: Supervise support and lead the local team.
- Admin & Stock: Assist with daily administrative duties stock counts and invoicing.
- Daily Flow: Ensure seamless communication between the kitchen housekeeping and field guiding teams.
Requirements
Requirements & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in a similar role within a lodge or hospitality environment.
- License: Valid South African Drivers License.
- Attributes: Confident professional friendly demeanour and eager to take initiative.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills basic computer literacy and high attention to detail.
- Certification: First Aid Level 1 certificate is highly preferred.
- Teamwork: Ability to work and live happily within a small close-knit team environmen
