This executive opportunity offers the chance to lead a specialist technical division responsible for accounting auditing financial analysis and industry support across a complex and highly regulated environment.

This role requires a technically exceptional and commercially astute leader who can provide strategic direction on complex accounting and auditing matters oversee reporting and disclosure frameworks and engage with senior stakeholders across the wider financial services ecosystem.

You will play a critical role in interpreting evolving financial reporting standards supporting strategic business and governance initiatives and leading a high-performing technical team operating within a dynamic and influential environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a specialist accounting auditing and industry analysis function within a highly regulated environment.
• Provide strategic guidance on accounting standards auditing matters governance frameworks and regulatory interpretation.
• Oversee technical advisory support relating to complex financial reporting standards and industry developments.
• Drive industry analysis and reporting through management information trend analysis and sector insights.
• Oversee disclosure and reporting frameworks aligned to industry best practice.
• Engage with regulators industry bodies professional associations and senior stakeholders on technical matters.
• Influence governance structures and contribute to strategic initiatives across the organisation.
• Lead mentor and develop a high-performing specialist team.
• Ensure governance risk management compliance and continuous improvement initiatives are effectively implemented.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the broader financial services landscape.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• CA(SA) qualification or Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
• 1012 years experience within financial services professional services consulting or regulatory environments.
• Minimum 5 years leadership or senior management experience.
• Strong exposure to financial reporting standards governance accounting and auditing frameworks.
• Deep understanding of complex IFRS standards and industry reporting requirements.
• Experience engaging with executive stakeholders governance forums and industry bodies.
• Strong strategic leadership analytical and stakeholder management capability.
• Exposure to banking insurance investments or broader financial services environments would be advantageous.
