DCEO Cluster Manager

The Infrastructure Operations organization is looking for an extraordinary individual with proven and tested leadership and management skills as a leader in our facilities operations organization in Cape Town South Africa as a Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Cluster Manager.
A DCEO Cluster Manager is one of our most senior management roles in the data center this role you will be responsible for leading a large organization managing Area Managers and/or Facility Managers who own data center facility infrastructure.

The ideal candidate for this role will have an understanding of data centre IT infrastructure data centre facilities infrastructure and understand how the two coexist. Key job responsibilities
Hiring managing and developing the operations management team comprising of facility managers chief engineers and engineering operations technicians.
Attainment of organizational performance goals and objectives relating to safety security availability scaling and efficiency.
Planning and executing the Infrastructure Operations component of new AWS data centre buildings new colo build-outs AWS data centre expansions and colo expansions.
Operation and maintenance of mechanical electrical and controls systems for AWS data centres to include preventive maintenance corrective maintenance and change management.
Vendor management of leased owned and colocation data center services providers to meet or exceed contracted performance SLAs.
Safety security and availability incident response incident management and incident resolution.
Continuous improvement of operational processes procedures methods and tools.


- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Experience hiring developing and managing high-performing technical teams
- Experience in industrial or commercial engineering or project management in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers power generation or oil/gas facilities
- 5 years of relevant professional experience

- GCC - 5-10 years experience managing high performance mission critical teams
